Forewords
Precious Plastic's mission is to enable anyone on the planet to recycle plastic and tackle the plastic waste problem.
In our 10-year anniversary we're proud to share some of the data backing our thesis that a global, people-powered, small-scale plastic recycling system could significantly alleviate the plastic crisis. Welcome to the Precious Plastic Impact Report.
One of Precious Plastic core principles is to share everything free and open source. The impressive impact data collected are a testament of the power of open knowledge and how information, when kept free to spread and propagate, have the capacity to spread far and wide.
While totally humbled by the big impact achieved so far, we're also fully grounded on the understanding that plastic production and consumption is set to tripe by 2050.
The work has just begun.
